ABOUT US

Friends at the Lake is a volunteer-driven, social model program that brings forth a system of care support, a respite for all people involved - the caregiver, the friend living with dementia, and the volunteer.

Our volunteers are trained in the social and relational aspects of caring for our friends living with dementia, offering mental stimulation and socialization while developing relationships that fill people up with a sense of well-being.

Whose Eligible / What We Provide

WHO IS ELIGIBLE &
WHAT DO WE PROVIDE

Anyone living with memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, and all other dementias.

No medications or personal care assistance provided.

We provide:

  • Compassionate volunteers
  • Music activities
  • Brain fitness
  • Physical activity
  • Art activities
  • Service projects
  • Vibrant community and
  • companionship
  • Family Style Meal
  • Snacks
